Ekart Logistics is the powerhouse behind Flipkart's delivery promise. Born out of Flipkart's frustration with third-party courier reliability in the early 2010s, Ekart was built from scratch to give Flipkart full control over its end-customer delivery experience.
Today, Ekart is one of India's most sophisticated last-mile delivery networks, handling tens of millions of shipments per month. Its scale is best understood in the context of Flipkart's 350+ million registered customers and its role as India's largest e-commerce platform during the Big Billion Days sale events.
Ekart's technology stack is deeply integrated with Flipkart's order management system - enabling real-time tracking updates, live delivery agent tracking on a map (similar to food delivery apps), and flexible delivery slot options including same-day and Sunday delivery in most cities.
The Ekart network also serves Myntra (fashion), Cleartrip, and other Flipkart Group platforms. Third-party sellers on Flipkart can choose Ekart fulfilment through Flipkart's Fulfilment by Flipkart (FBF) programme, which combines warehousing, packing, and delivery under one roof.
Ekart tracking IDs include FMPP and FMPC prefixes; the registry also includes an FMPN reference. Use the shipment ID from Track Package, not a Flipkart OD order ID. A store order reference is not interchangeable with an Ekart waybill.

What does an Ekart tracking number look like?
Ekart shipment IDs include FMPP and FMPC followed by digits; the registry also includes FMPN. Other layouts may occur. Copy the shipment ID from Track Package, not the Flipkart OD order ID. Select Ekart manually if automatic detection is uncertain.
Can I track my Flipkart order on TrackParcel?
Yes. Enter your Ekart shipment ID (found in your Flipkart order under 'Track Package') and TrackParcel shows the current delivery status.
Why does Ekart tracking sometimes not update?
Ekart scans packages at key points - pickup, sorting hub, local facility, and out-for-delivery. Gaps between scans of 12–24 hours are normal, especially overnight.
Does Ekart deliver on Sundays?
Yes, Ekart delivers 7 days a week in most cities, which is one of the key advantages of Flipkart's in-house logistics network.
What does 'Out for Delivery' mean on Ekart tracking?
'Out for Delivery' means your package has been loaded onto a delivery vehicle and is on the way to your address. You should receive it within the day, usually by 9 PM. You can often track the delivery agent live on the Flipkart app.
What happens if Ekart misses the delivery?
Ekart makes multiple delivery attempts. If you're not home, they may leave a notification and attempt again the next working day. You can also reschedule delivery or choose store pickup at a Flipkart pickup point via the Flipkart app.
