Pos Malaysia Berhad says it holds the sole mandate for Malaysia's universal postal service, and that it has turned from a mail company into a parcel delivery company that also delivers mail. This page follows items carrying a Pos Malaysia number, from domestic Pos Laju parcels to International Express items, whose listed features include track and trace and proof of delivery. TrackParcel asks Pos Malaysia's own track-and-trace service for each item's scans in English and shows only what that service returns. For items sent abroad, the company's FAQ warns that tracking visibility depends on the service selected and the destination country's provider or partner.

For an international parcel, counter staff check your e-Connote, weigh it and issue a receipt with a tracking number where applicable. Pos Laju SendParcel drop-off points refuse a parcel without a printed consignment note showing its barcode.

TrackParcel capitalises the number and drops a pasted label such as AWB:, brackets around it, and spaces, hyphens, dots and slashes, except in a few shapes such as BT- and digits. Pos Malaysia gets no shape check: up to 50 plain Latin letters and digits go through unchanged, but a + sign or accented letter left in gets the number refused. Auto-Detect puts Pos Malaysia first for any two letters, nine digits and MY and also offers India Post, and it suggests Pos Malaysia alone for EN, a third letter, nine digits and MY.

Each scan shows the activity line, the office that recorded it and, when there is one, the short summary line beneath it. The headline status is the item's overall process status, or the newest activity when that is blank.

Scans are listed newest first, in order down to the second. Their dates and times are shown as the service gives them, with no time zone added. Origin and destination show city, state and country only; the postcodes in the reply are left out.

TrackParcel reports not found when the service answers, in English or Malay, that the number does not exist, or returns the item with no scans. It never repeats the carrier's own error text and shows its own message instead. Any other error answer is not treated as a missing item.

Compare every character with your receipt, the letters included. If the number matches, ask the sender to confirm it before raising an enquiry.

The FAQ lists customs inspection, incomplete documentation, inaccurate declarations, import permit checks, flight disruptions, severe weather and public holidays as causes of delay abroad, along with conditions in the destination country. A missing importer reference can lead to customs delays, rejection or return, so senders are asked to get it from the recipient before posting.

Enquiries go through the AskPos chatbot or a customer service line, both named in the FAQ. Loss or damage complaints go to Pos Malaysia, which reviews each one: eligible domestic Pos Laju parcels carry cover of up to RM200, and claims for a Domestic Sea Parcel, capped at RM100, are made through AskPos.
