TrackParcel has confirmed that GOFO Italy's tracker answers lookups, but has not yet checked a delivered shipment end to end. The status wording below comes from the carrier's own published statuses.
It usually starts CIIT or GFIT and continues with 13 or 14 digits, says the Italian FAQ. That FAQ calls it a unique identifier for following a shipment in Italy, supplied by the sender or online shop with the order confirmation or shipping notice.
Check it against GOFO's Italian format, and if it still fails, ask the seller. The FAQ says a code must start CIIT or GFIT, followed by 13 or 14 digits, "senza caratteri speciali", and sends "non valido" codes back to the seller.
TrackParcel drops any scan place that contains digits, because it may be a delivery point's street address. The origin and destination countries go through the same check. GOFO's own Italian tracking page still prints each scan's place, digits included, so check there when the place matters.
It is the badge GOFO's Italian tracker gives event codes 204, 206, 300 and 301. For those codes its progress bar marks Segnalata, In transito and In consegna as done, then adds a “Non consegnata” step, Not delivered on GOFO's English page. TrackParcel shows Alert unless GOFO's record states its own status or the newest scan reads as out for delivery.
When GOFO's latest event has code 257 or 264, the codes that carry the Restituito badge on its Italian tracker. The progress bar then ends on Restituito instead of Consegnato, and TrackParcel reports Returned with no delivery date. The Italian FAQ uses the same word for a parcel left 14 days in GOFO's warehouse after failed attempts: “restituito automaticamente al mittente”.
GOFO Italia S.R.L., based in Lainate, holds a general authorisation from MIMIT, Italy's Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, and publishes a postal services charter under AGCOM rules. The charter says it serves business customers only.
Here you can follow a parcel on GOFO's Italian tracker by its CIIT or GFIT code. Each GOFO country runs its own tracker, and GOFO's European tracking pages send a single number with another European or US GOFO prefix straight to that site's page instead of searching it.
GOFO's Italian FAQ calls the code the "codice di tracciamento" and tells a buyer who has not received one to contact the seller. GOFO's Italian results table shows both numbers side by side, under "Numero di tracciamento" and "Tracciamento dell'ultimo miglio".
Auto-Detect puts GOFO Italy first for either prefix. If GOFO Italy is selected for a GFES or CIES code, TrackParcel gives a not-found answer without querying GOFO Italy and says GOFO sends that prefix to its Spanish tracker.
A time with no offset is taken as Rome time, and numeric dates that do not start with the year are read day first. As on GOFO's Italian timeline, a scan's main line becomes its description and the line beneath it a separate note; GOFO prints that note even when it repeats the main line, but TrackParcel leaves it out. TrackParcel never reads GOFO's delivery photos, the encrypted proof-of-delivery data and its one-time-code check, or the recipient's name, street and phone. With no real Italian GOFO code available, TrackParcel reads these records as GOFO's page script does.
GOFO's reply to an unknown code carries no error message: a saved real reply reads "Operare con successo" above an empty list, which TrackParcel turns into not found. If a parcel that has reached Italy goes more than five working days without an update, the Italian FAQ asks you to get in touch.
GOFO's Italian shipper page lists standard last-mile delivery for parcels dropped at its sorting centre, up to 110 × 50 × 40 cm and 20 kg, with three free delivery attempts. Delivery is entrusted to other authorised postal operators, the charter says, and its compensation rules still apply when a third party delivers.
GOFO Italia's charter accepts complaints by email, certified email (PEC), online form, registered letter with return receipt or telephone, free of charge. If a parcel marked "consegnato" cannot be found, the Italian FAQ says a photo of your entrance helps GOFO investigate, though it is optional. For a lost parcel, the refund request has to come from the sender.

GOFO Italy's own status wording, what it means, and the badge TrackParcel's result shows for it.
Yes. Its postal services charter lists a second attempt, an SMS or email storage notice, and return to the sender if the parcel is not collected after three days. The Italian FAQ instead describes up to three attempts and a 14-day hold, so ask GOFO which applies.
No. GOFO Italia's charter says it has no premises open to the public, as it works only with business customers, and its FAQ says it cannot currently send a parcel to a pickup point.
Its charter excludes hazardous or flammable materials, narcotic substances, weapons, cash or valuables, and goods under customs restrictions that lack the required documents, along with anything else the law bars from transport.
