Tracking Number Format
Pattern: 24-digit parcel number from the InPost shipping message
Format example
123456789012345678901234
Illustrative format, not a live shipment.
TrackParcel has confirmed that InPost's tracker answers lookups, but has not yet checked a delivered shipment end to end. The status wording below comes from the carrier's own published statuses.
The parcel has reached the InPost branch in the recipient's town. It is the last stop before a courier loads it, so the next status is normally Handed over for delivery, followed by Placed in the parcel machine or delivery to the address.
The parcel is in the locker and ready to collect. InPost sends the collection code by text message, email or its app, and you open the compartment with that code or the QR code. If it is not collected in time InPost sends a reminder, and its own status text says the parcel is then returned to a branch.
The seller has created the label, but InPost does not have the parcel yet. Tracking starts moving at Picked up from Sender or Parcel shipped at the parcel machine, when the parcel is actually handed over.
A courier delivery could not be completed that day. InPost records the reason with it, such as incorrect or incomplete address details, recipient unknown, or no cash for a cash-on-delivery parcel. Check the address with the seller, because the parcel can be returned if it stays undeliverable.
InPost numbers are 24 digits, so check none are missing. A new label can take a few hours to appear, and it only shows movement after the sender hands the parcel over. Numbers from Mondial Relay, which InPost owns, are tracked on Mondial Relay's own site.
InPost is a Polish parcel company best known for its network of self-service parcel machines, called Paczkomat lockers, and it also runs courier delivery and staffed pickup points. A parcel is tracked by the 24-digit number in the shipping message. InPost publishes its own English wording for each tracking status, and TrackParcel shows that wording. A locker parcel usually moves through Prepared by the Sender, Picked up from Sender, Parcel in the warehouse, On the road, Sent from the Sorting Facility, The parcel is in town, Handed over for delivery and Placed in the parcel machine, and ends with Delivered once it is collected. Courier parcels show In delivery instead of the locker step.
InPost tracking begins with the reference printed on the shipment label, booking receipt, or dispatch message. The registered format guidance for this integration is 24-digit parcel number from the InPost shipping message; 123456789012345678901234 is an illustrative example rather than an active parcel. Enter the reference exactly as issued, including letters, leading zeroes, spaces, or punctuation when they form part of the number.
TrackParcel sends the lookup to the public tracking transport associated with InPost and normalises the response into a readable timeline. When the carrier supplies them, the result can include the current shipment state, event timestamps, processing locations, and carrier remarks. The carrier creates and controls those scans; TrackParcel cannot add a missing event or promise when the next scan will appear. A recent successful response may be returned from a short-lived cache to reduce repeat requests.
InPost uses its own shipment references and scan process. The safest source is the dispatch confirmation, label, or receipt issued for that shipment. Similar-looking numeric references can belong to other couriers, so selecting InPost explicitly avoids an ambiguous format match.
If InPost returns no shipment, first compare the reference with the original message and remove accidental surrounding spaces. A newly created label may not be searchable until the first physical scan. Delays between events can also occur while a shipment moves between facilities, crosses a border, clears customs, or waits for a partner-carrier handoff. Try again later, then use the official InPost tracking page linked below when the shipment is urgent or the result remains unavailable.
Guide updated:
InPost may word these differently. The event text in your result is the carrier's own.
Enter your InPost tracking number in the search box above. TrackParcel requests the current status and available events from the carrier's tracking system.
A sample InPost reference is 123456789012345678901234. Registered format guidance is 24-digit parcel number from the InPost shipping message. The exact format can vary by shipment service, so use the value printed on the receipt or shipping confirmation.
Carriers only add scans when a parcel is processed at a facility. A newly booked parcel or a shipment moving between hubs can show no new event for a while.
