Senegal Post, La Poste du Sénégal, tracks IPS items by two letters, nine digits and two letters, ending SN when posted in Senegal. Its site also takes Jotnaci JT codes, which TrackParcel does not send. No login required.

Tracking Number Format
Pattern: Two letters, nine digits and two letters; items posted in Senegal end in SN

Illustrative format, not a live shipment.
Two letters, nine digits and two letters, ending in SN when Senegal is where it was posted. On the tracking page it is the numéro de suivi you receive at sending. TrackParcel's search box removes spaces, hyphens and a pasted AWB: label, and any number built that way is forwarded, whatever the final letters.
Its tracker has no record of it: the reply says no match and lists no events, which TrackParcel reports as not found. Before asking the post, compare both letter pairs and all nine digits with your receipt. A Jotnaci JT code is never sent from here, so TrackParcel gets no reply for it and reports it as not found.
It records the counter posting, when a post office accepts the item from its sender. The one real item history TrackParcel has kept shows nothing else: just this event, at the Dakar Parcelles Assaines office in Senegal, with the French name Réception d'envoi du client (Srt). TrackParcel displays the English name.
The real posting event was stamped exactly midnight, which TrackParcel treats as a date without a time, so it shows the date alone. Other times carry no zone in the reply; TrackParcel reads them as Dakar time, UTC+0, and shows them converted to IST, labelled IST.
TrackParcel adds them from fields the reply can carry, and only when they are filled in. They give the next office on the item's route, a non-delivery reason, the action taken after a failed delivery, and a reason for retention. The signatory's name and the signature image are never read.
La Poste du Sénégal presents itself as the national postal service and as Senegal's historic operator, with savings, money-transfer and bill-payment services alongside mail. Its home page tracking box accepts two formats: IPS numbers such as RR…SN, and Jotnaci codes starting JT.
Jotnaci is its express service for the Dakar region, which delivers to the door and offers proof of delivery. Only IPS item numbers go from TrackParcel to the post, because the reply for JT codes has not been seen, so this page covers IPS item numbers only.
Senegal Post's Suivi de colis page wants the numéro de suivi handed over at sending. The home page box names two formats, IPS numbers ending in SN and Jotnaci codes starting JT, and the customer service claim form treats the number as optional.
TrackParcel sends only the IPS shape and does not test its check digit, so a number from another post with that shape goes through too. Auto-Detect offers La Poste du Sénégal for numbers ending in SN, after India Post, or ahead of it when the first letter is X; for other endings, select it yourself. A JT code stops at TrackParcel as not found, and the post is never asked.
A known item comes back with every event's IPS name, in English and French, plus its local date and time, office and country. TrackParcel displays the English wording, puts office and country together as the place, and orders events from newest to oldest by date and time, because the reply's own order is undocumented.
The origin shows the posting country only when the oldest event is the counter posting, while the destination country is filled in only after a delivery event. A scan recorded in another country is still read as Dakar time, because the reply does not say which zone it used.
Once an IPS number has been sent, not found is reserved for a no-match reply with an empty event list. A maintenance page in HTML, a vanished route or a match carrying no events leads instead to an error, or to Senegal Post being marked unavailable.
A JT code belongs on the Jotnaci tracking linked from the home page instead. When an IPS item runs late, the tracking page says to contact the Service Client.
International items are subject to customs duties, and the post adds a 1000 F presentation fee plus storage fees of 100 F a day, shared, once a parcel has waited more than eight days. For international mail it offers La Recommandation, for legal proof of sending, and the Accusé de réception, which tells the sender officially that the item was handed over.
For a dispute or a late parcel, the customer service page points you to the office where it was posted, with your receipt, or else to the parcel exchange centre at Dakar Messagerie. Its online claim form covers late delivery, damaged and lost parcels, and the Service Client answers by phone on weekdays from 8h to 17h.

The counter posting is the only event TrackParcel has met in a genuine reply, and laposte.sn lists no further status words, so it stands alone here.
No. According to the Suivi de colis page, receiving from abroad needs no post office box. Unless Jotnaci delivers to your door, you collect the parcel at the post office with an identity document and the avis de passage, the collection notice.
Sometimes. If the parcel has only just been posted and has not left the office, the sender can have the address corrected straight away. If it has already left, the customer service page says to contact the Service Client to request a correction.
Its international page lists letters up to 500 grammes, postcards, packets up to 3 kg and parcels as heavy as 30 kg, depending on the destination. It says perfume is strictly forbidden because it is flammable.
