Tracking Number Format
Pattern: PBT consignment number or ticket number from the sender's dispatch note
Format example
12345678
Illustrative format, not a live shipment.
The freight has reached the destination area and a delivery has been scheduled, but it is not on the truck yet. On the consignment this page was checked against, Out For Delivery and Delivered followed four days after Booked For Delivery, so a gap of a few days is not unusual when a delivery time has to be agreed.
In Depot means the freight has been scanned into a PBT depot. In Transit means it has left on a line-haul vehicle for the next depot. Both can appear within minutes of each other when freight is loaded straight onto a waiting truck.
PBT has closed the job in its system. It is an administrative status and appears when a consignment is completed or finalised without a separate delivery scan. If you are still waiting for goods, contact the sender or the PBT branch for the destination town.
Each item in a consignment gets its own ticket number. They travel together, so the tickets usually show identical scans. If one ticket is missing a scan the others have, that item may have been separated from the rest.
PBT is a New Zealand express freight network that moves cartons, pallets and full loads between its depots across both islands, mainly for businesses. A shipment is tracked by its consignment number, and the result shows the ticket number, the town it was sent from, the town it is going to and a list of scans in New Zealand time. A delivery usually reads Pickup Requested, In Depot, In Transit, Booked For Delivery, Out For Delivery and Delivered. A job that is closed without a delivery scan shows Closed Consignment. A consignment with several items lists a ticket for each one, and the tickets normally share the same scans. The page also shows the number of items, the weight and the cubic volume.
PBT Express Freight tracking begins with the reference printed on the shipment label, booking receipt, or dispatch message. The registered format guidance for this integration is PBT consignment number or ticket number from the sender's dispatch note; 12345678 is an illustrative example rather than an active parcel. Enter the reference exactly as issued, including letters, leading zeroes, spaces, or punctuation when they form part of the number.
TrackParcel sends the lookup to the public tracking transport associated with PBT Express Freight and normalises the response into a readable timeline. When the carrier supplies them, the result can include the current shipment state, event timestamps, processing locations, and carrier remarks. The carrier creates and controls those scans; TrackParcel cannot add a missing event or promise when the next scan will appear. A recent successful response may be returned from a short-lived cache to reduce repeat requests.
PBT Express Freight uses its own shipment references and scan process. The safest source is the dispatch confirmation, label, or receipt issued for that shipment. Similar-looking numeric references can belong to other couriers, so selecting PBT Express Freight explicitly avoids an ambiguous format match.
If PBT Express Freight returns no shipment, first compare the reference with the original message and remove accidental surrounding spaces. A newly created label may not be searchable until the first physical scan. Delays between events can also occur while a shipment moves between facilities, crosses a border, clears customs, or waits for a partner-carrier handoff. Try again later, then use the official PBT Express Freight tracking page linked below when the shipment is urgent or the result remains unavailable.
Guide updated:
PBT Express Freight may word these differently. The event text in your result is the carrier's own.
Enter your PBT Express Freight tracking number in the search box above. TrackParcel requests the current status and available events from the carrier's tracking system.
A sample PBT Express Freight reference is 12345678. Registered format guidance is PBT consignment number or ticket number from the sender's dispatch note. The exact format can vary by shipment service, so use the value printed on the receipt or shipping confirmation.
Carriers only add scans when a parcel is processed at a facility. A newly booked parcel or a shipment moving between hubs can show no new event for a while.
