Tracking Number Format
Pattern: 9-digit consignment number; a customer reference can also be searched
Format example
123456789
Illustrative format, not a live shipment.
The shipment has reached a hub or sorting centre where it changes vehicle on the way to the delivery depot. It is a transit scan and needs no action. The next entry is normally Shipment now at depot nearest to delivery address.
The shipment is at the depot that delivers to your address. On the consignments this page was checked against, Shipment is out for delivery followed about an hour later on the same morning and delivery happened the same day. If the shipment arrives late in the day, expect it on the next working day's run.
The driver left the shipment at a place the receiver or sender had authorised, such as a reception desk, a porch or with a neighbour, instead of handing it over in person. If you cannot find it, check that location first and then contact TNT with the consignment number.
Separate scans are recorded when the shipment is loaded and when the vehicle leaves, and both are described as Shipment in transit. Two or three identical lines within a couple of hours at the collection depot are one departure, not a delay.
Enter the 9-digit consignment number without spaces or letters. A new number can take until the evening of the collection day to appear. Shipments booked through FedEx after the TNT integration may carry a 12-digit FedEx tracking number, which has to be tracked with FedEx.
TNT Express is the international express and road network that is now part of FedEx. It carries documents, parcels and palletised freight, mostly for businesses, and each shipment has a 9-digit consignment number. Tracking shows where the shipment was collected, where it is going, and a list of scans stamped in the local time of the depot that recorded them. A normal journey reads Shipment now at the depot nearest to collection address, Shipment collected from collection address, Shipment in transit, Shipment arrived at connection point, Shipment now at depot nearest to delivery address, Shipment is out for delivery and a delivery line. The delivery line also says how the shipment was left, for example Shipment delivered in good condition or Shipment left in agreed location as instructed.
TNT Express tracking begins with the reference printed on the shipment label, booking receipt, or dispatch message. The registered format guidance for this integration is 9-digit consignment number; a customer reference can also be searched; 123456789 is an illustrative example rather than an active parcel. Enter the reference exactly as issued, including letters, leading zeroes, spaces, or punctuation when they form part of the number.
TrackParcel sends the lookup to the public tracking transport associated with TNT Express and normalises the response into a readable timeline. When the carrier supplies them, the result can include the current shipment state, event timestamps, processing locations, and carrier remarks. The carrier creates and controls those scans; TrackParcel cannot add a missing event or promise when the next scan will appear. A recent successful response may be returned from a short-lived cache to reduce repeat requests.
TNT Express uses its own shipment references and scan process. The safest source is the dispatch confirmation, label, or receipt issued for that shipment. Similar-looking numeric references can belong to other couriers, so selecting TNT Express explicitly avoids an ambiguous format match.
If TNT Express returns no shipment, first compare the reference with the original message and remove accidental surrounding spaces. A newly created label may not be searchable until the first physical scan. Delays between events can also occur while a shipment moves between facilities, crosses a border, clears customs, or waits for a partner-carrier handoff. Try again later, then use the official TNT Express tracking page linked below when the shipment is urgent or the result remains unavailable.
Guide updated:
TNT Express may word these differently. The event text in your result is the carrier's own.
Enter your TNT Express tracking number in the search box above. TrackParcel requests the current status and available events from the carrier's tracking system.
A sample TNT Express reference is 123456789. Registered format guidance is 9-digit consignment number; a customer reference can also be searched. The exact format can vary by shipment service, so use the value printed on the receipt or shipping confirmation.
Carriers only add scans when a parcel is processed at a facility. A newly booked parcel or a shipment moving between hubs can show no new event for a while.
