TrackParcel has confirmed that City-Link Express's tracker answers lookups, but has not yet checked a delivered shipment end to end. The status wording below comes from the carrier's own published statuses.
The forms on City-Link's site ask for a 15-digit consignment number and accept up to 20 characters. After stripping spaces and hyphens, TrackParcel sends 10 to 20 digits, one number per search. For a 15-digit number Auto-Detect does not try City-Link Express and offers it only under Also try once its own picks miss, so choose the courier from the list.
No. Nothing is on record under that number in the courier's system. Its result page shows this reply as a loading error asking you to refresh and try again, while TrackParcel calls it not found. A consignment that has no movement logged yet is treated the same way.
Only its last two steps count. When the bar has reached Out For delivery and the newest movement is a plain transit scan, TrackParcel switches its status to Out for Delivery to match. At Delivered, a plain transit scan that does not mention delivery turns into Delivered. A movement reporting a failed attempt, a hold, or a return keeps its own wording, or reads Returned to Origin.
No, because the e-POD is released only against a contact or account number. City-Link asks for the shipper's or consignee's contact number, or the account number; the result page offers that check once the bar reaches Delivered. TrackParcel leaves the e-POD alone and reads none of those fields.
City-Link Express Sdn Bhd dates its founding to 1979, and its profile adds that the Malaysia Book of Records certified it in 2020 as the oldest courier company. Its menu lists courier services, air and sea freight, shipping to East Malaysia, a motorcycle courier and ParcelGuard.
This page covers consignments tracked on citylinkexpress.com, the Malaysian site. The contact page lists separate City-Link companies in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam, but TrackParcel queries only the Malaysian tracker.
The request forms ask for a 15-digit consignment number and cap the field at 20 characters, while the Track Your Shipment box accepts 30 consignment numbers at most, one per line. The result page shows that Consignment Number beside a Reference Number and, for a multi-piece shipment, a Child Number count; TrackParcel reads neither of the other two.
Before sending, TrackParcel deletes spaces, hyphens, slashes, commas and full stops. City-Link is queried only when 10 to 20 digits remain; letters, or a shorter or longer run of digits, stay on TrackParcel's side and end as not found, provided the entry is at most 50 characters.
TrackParcel queries the system behind City-Link's tracking-result page and shows the From and To points plus each movement that has a status and a readable date, with its time and location where given. Movements arrive oldest first; TrackParcel reverses them, newest on top, and drops the “SR - ” prefix that some statuses carry, as City-Link's page does.
No zone accompanies the movement times. TrackParcel takes them as Malaysia time and converts them to IST, which puts each clock two and a half hours earlier; a movement whose time cannot be read keeps its date alone. TrackParcel leaves out the Reference Number, Child Numbers, weight, dimensions, account and contact numbers, and it never opens the proof of delivery.
City-Link's system meets an unknown number with “No tracking data found.”, and its result page then displays a loading error. Three answers end as not found on TrackParcel: that reply, a reply marked unsuccessful (shown by City-Link as “No tracking details found for this consignment number.”), and a consignment without any movement.
If City-Link's server fails, or a maintenance page comes back where tracking data should be, TrackParcel calls the courier unavailable rather than the consignment missing. Check the 15 digits, and confirm with the sender that the consignment was booked before contacting City-Link.
According to City-Link's FAQ, international shipments must clear customs, that clearance times differ by country and are outside its control, and that customs may hold a shipment when the declaration lacks information. The sender completes that declaration on the consignment note, and the declared value sets taxes and duties at the destination. After a missed delivery, the FAQ offers self-collection at the counter named on the Attempted Delivery Note, or a reattempt for selected trackable items.
Only the courier can arrange a reattempt, a redirection or a claim. On the Track Your Shipment page, Request Reattempt lets you choose the same address, a different address or a branch for self-collection, and the Feedback & Enquiries form covers service feedback and claims. Keep the consignment and contact numbers at hand, and expect a representative to contact you to verify a reattempt.

City-Link Express's own status wording, what it means, and the badge TrackParcel's result shows for it.
The four steps are the progress bar on the courier's result page; every movement row keeps the courier's own wording.
Not for TrackParcel. The result page shows a Reference Number beside the Consignment Number, but TrackParcel searches the consignment number and never reads the reference field. If you hold only a reference, request the 15-digit consignment number from the sender.
They are the extra pieces of a multi-piece shipment, which the result page lists under the main consignment and counts as Child Number. The profile mentions a multiple-parcel function for mother and child parcels in its OSC tool. TrackParcel shows the main consignment's movements and does not list the child pieces.
Subject to City-Link's conditions of carriage, its FAQ caps liability at RM200.00 per consignment note, and insurance is sold as a percentage of the invoice value. A claim starts with an e-mail request for the claim form, and the FAQ says claims take an average of 21 days to process.
