Follow a La Poste letter, Colissimo or Chronopost item by its numéro de suivi; La Poste's own tracker also takes the 11-digit avis de passage number. TrackParcel keeps La Poste's French event wording. No login required.
The tracking tool is still loading. You can type or paste your number now; Track works once it has loaded.
Latest available carrier scans, sometimes from a temporary cache; not live GPS. Check event timestamps. Carrier availability varies.
TrackParcel is independent of La Poste. For claims, redelivery or address changes use the official La Poste website.

Any of three: the numéro d'envoi itself, the avis de passage number, or an international partner number. A sender finds the first on the preuve de dépôt, the Prêt-à-Poster stub, the counter tracking ticket or the printed-stamp confirmation email. A recipient gets it from the sender or an email from La Poste; type it without spaces, in capitals.
Unless it goes to a country tracked to delivery, that is where the tracking ends. Its help page says tracking up to delivery is offered to only 45 countries; elsewhere “le suivi s’arrête à la sortie du territoire français”. The same page links a page for checking whether a destination is tracked to delivery.
The item is moving through La Poste's logistics platforms in France. On replayed items sent from abroad, it came after the partner post's acceptance and the event marking the item ready to leave its origin country. Processing at the local sorting site, the distribution site and delivery followed it.
On replayed items, delivery came next: it was the event just before “Votre colis est livré”. It means the parcel has reached the local delivery office, which prepares it for the round. Once the delivered wording arrives, TrackParcel's headline reads Delivered, dated from the delivery time in the reply.
The Suivre vos envois page on laposte.fr follows letters, Colissimo parcels and Chronopost items, and it works without an account. Its help pages say tracking stays online for 12 months after La Poste takes charge of an item. Outside the 45 countries tracked to delivery, its tracking ends when the item leaves France. Items arriving from abroad keep their international number ending in the origin country's code, and the French scans follow under it.
Four shapes are listed for a numéro d'envoi: a digit, a letter and 11 digits; two letters and 11 digits; two letters, nine digits and two letters; or 14 digits. A courrier suivi stamp prints a code of 13 to 15 characters beside its barcode or QR code. The avis de passage carries 11 digits down its right-hand side, and a partner number has 15 digits, or 14 digits and a letter.
The SD mention beside a number is not part of it, but TrackParcel keeps it: “SD: …” pasted in is sent with SD in front. Of all these shapes, Auto-Detect suggests La Poste only for two letters, nine digits and FR. For every other shape, including items from abroad ending in another country's code, pick it by hand.
TrackParcel reads the unified tracking (suivi unifié) on laposte.fr in French, so each event shows the carrier's own sentence. The place on each event is the country La Poste gives for it, and the result's origin is the country on the oldest event, its destination that on the newest once the item is delivered. The posting date comes from the reply's entry date.
Each scan carries its Paris offset, which TrackParcel keeps: it reads each time as Paris time, then displays it in Indian time marked IST. Events keep the reply's own sequence, newest first. A shipment La Poste marks final counts as delivered even with unfamiliar wording, unless its newest event is a return, refusal, failed attempt or delivery round.
No La Poste message is carried into the result. After TrackParcel has passed a number on, the result says not found when La Poste turns it down as unknown or invalid, or sends back no shipment or no events. A slow answer is never reported as not found.
Tracking stays online for 12 months after an item is taken in, so an older number may show nothing. Check the number on the preuve de dépôt or stamp with the sender first, then ask the Service Clients.
Tracking up to delivery is offered to 45 destination countries; for the rest, it stops when the item leaves French territory. When a partner abroad passes its own tracking number to La Poste, the tracker accepts that 15-character partner number too. On replayed items arriving from abroad, the history began with “déposé par l'expéditeur chez notre partenaire postal” in the origin country.
The tracking tool has a Corriger mon adresse button for an incomplete address, and the Service Clients can add a door code or floor without changing the address. After a fraudulent purchase, Service Clients can look at stopping the parcel. Other questions and complaints go through Nous contacter on the help pages; keep the confirmation de dépôt, which La Poste calls essential for contacting Service Clients.

La Poste's own status wording, what it means, and the badge TrackParcel's result shows for it.
It may go in the letterbox, to someone at the address, or wait at the post office for 15 days before going back to the sender. You are told by avis de passage, email or SMS, and La Poste's online tool can then book a pickup point or a new delivery date.
Five reasons are named: wrong or incomplete details, your name missing from the letterbox, the holding period running out, a return the sender asked for, or damage. TrackParcel's headline reads Returned to Origin only once it reads the newest event as a completed return to the sender; a return still under way keeps La Poste's own sentence.
No. Letters with the tracking option have no proof of posting, though their delivery into the recipient's letterbox can be followed. For proof of posting it points to Lettre recommandée or Colissimo, and a counter confirmation de dépôt stays in your Espace client for a year.
