OPT-NC Tracking. Free & Online.

The Office des Postes et Télécommunications de Nouvelle-Calédonie (OPT-NC) is a public industrial and commercial establishment (EPIC) registered in Nouméa. Its opt.nc site also sells telephone and internet services, which this page does not cover. The Suivi de colis link on opt.nc leads to Mon espace, OPT-NC's Portail des Services Postaux for letters and parcels. TrackParcel reads the public tracking details the portal's tracking page shows, without signing in or adding the number to a list.

Mon espace asks for a tracking number of 13 characters. TrackParcel removes spaces and hyphens in it, a label such as AWB before it and a bracketed note after it, then asks OPT-NC only about exactly 13 letters and digits. Mon espace's own N° de suivi label is not removed, nor a hyphen or underscore between an initial BT or BTS and six or more digits alone, so leave these out. A shorter or longer number, or two joined by a slash or comma, is refused before OPT-NC is asked.

Auto-Detect offers OPT-NC only for two letters, nine digits and NC. For any other 13-character number, including the shape of Mon espace's own example, a digit and a letter followed by eleven digits, choose OPT-NC from the carrier list yourself.

For an item, Mon espace gives a status code with a French label, the departure and destination countries, and events with OPT-NC's wording, a date and time, an office and a country code. On TrackParcel the latest event comes first, and any retention or non-delivery reason sits under its event.

It never reads addresses, names or the customs-duty, payment, storage and appointment details. A time with an offset keeps it, one without is read as Nouméa time (Pacific/Noumea, UTC+11), and all are shown converted to IST, labelled IST. No real OPT-NC parcel has been read yet; these are the fields the portal's tracking page reads.

For an unknown number OPT-NC replies Aucun suivi trouvé pour le n° and the number, which Mon espace words N° de suivi non trouvé. After TrackParcel sends a number, that reply and an archived number (N° de suivi archivé) show as not found.

A maintenance notice shows as temporarily unavailable instead. For some numbers Mon espace answers Plusieurs suivis. Rendez-vous dans votre agence OPT, sending you to an agency in person.

Mon espace can show the droits et taxes de dédouanement due on an item, the date until which they can be paid online, and that a réclamation douanière can contest the amount. It also warns when free storage ends and a daily fee in XPF begins, and when an uncollected item will go back to its sender. TrackParcel shows none of these amounts or dates.

OPT-NC's form Je formule ma demande ou ma réclamation takes requests and complaints. Choose Courrier et colis as the subject, put the 13-character number in your message and attach documents of up to 4 MB if needed. To follow more items at once on Mon espace itself, OPT-NC asks you to create an account or sign in.
